Signature Dishes of the Week (Oct 31 - Nov 04) Post Holiday Blues–Cure & Care!

Dear Jag & Toombs Foods Family,

I have just returned from my ten day long tropical vacation in Hawaii, or as I like to call it, “The Paradise of the Pacific”. As much as I am relishing all the two thousand photos I have captured in my photos app, I am also experiencing Post Vacation Sadness Syndrome, Or as I like to call it, “I don’t want my vacation to end” syndrome. I am sure many of you are experiencing exact or somewhat similar feelings after this festive season of Diwali, your recent summer vacation, or even this almost-over weekend. My mother, like every Indian mother, has found a “cure” for this seriously depressing syndrome–”Maa Ke Haath Ka Khaana!”, aka home-cooked food.

This week’s signature dishes are inspired by my mother’s extraordinarily potent and alchemical recipes, that I relate with feelings like comfort, warmth & love. I hope to cook these recipes for you with the same comfort, warmth & love, to help you resume healthy habits, provide balanced nutrition to your body and mind, and adjust back into your day to day routine.

Here are my signature dishes of the week:

  1. Vegetable Upma/Quinoa

  2. Vegetable Khichdi

  3. Spinach Paneer

  4. Homestyle Rajma (Punjabi Style)

  5. Homestyle Chana Masala (Punjabi Style)

  6. Homestyle Chicken Curry (Punjabi Style)

  7. Curd Rice (Thayir Sadam)

  8. Aloo-Cauliflower

  9. Spinach Dal Tadka

  10. Spinach Chicken

If you wish to add these recipes to your upcoming appointments, simply head over to the “Select Menu” tab and update your menu selection for the upcoming week. I cannot wait to see you all in your kitchens soon.
